FAQs

  • WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY RESERVATION?
    We are booking up quickly so we recommend securing your picnic date at least two weeks out! Get in touch to learn more about our packages.
  • WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?
    Our pricing is based on your picnic needs! We offer two different packages and a variety of add-ons to make your experience more memorable. You can learn more about the prices on our Packages page. If you're looking for a more customized picnic, let us know and we’ll send you a personalized quote.
  • HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
    A $50 deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is required before the picnic. Get in touch for payment options.
  • HOW MANY GUESTS CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE?
    Right now we can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests (2 included & 12 as an add-on). We are growing fast, stay tuned for more!
  • WHERE IS MY PICNIC?
    All picnics are set up at Coolidge Park or Riverfront Park. Check out our Picnic Map page!
  • HOW LONG DO I GET MY PICNIC?
    Your picnic is reserved for one hour. We will charge $60 per hour beyond this time frame. If you would like to leave before your hour is up, please contact us right away.
  • CAN I CHOOSE THE STYLE OF MY PICNIC?
    We do offer a couple of color themes to choose from! We will have more options available in the near future. We encourage and welcome all suggestions, please email them to us at picnicbytheriver@outlook.com or go to the Contact page to get in touch. We will try to incorporate them in our setup but this is not guaranteed.
  • WHAT ABOUT BAD WEATHER?
    Rain or shine, we got you! If the weather looks like it may affect your reservation, we will contact you in advance to discuss your options. Options include: we can set up your picnic at a covered area at Coolidge Park or you have up to 2 hours before the picnic to reschedule or call it off. There is no fee for rescheduling or cancelling your picnic due to weather and you will be credited to your new date if you reschedule.
  • WHAT ARE THE FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPTIONS?
    Our packages do not include food, however, we do offer a charcuterie board as an add-on. We also offer food delivery (you order from your favorite restaurant within a 5 mile radius from the picnic location and we deliver your food to the picnic!) You are also allowed to bring your own food. Additionally, all of our packages come with complimentary sparkling water.
  • WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY REQUIREMENT AND/OR FOOD ALLERGEN?
    We can make alterations to cater for any dietary requirements/intolerances. We ask that you let us know at the time of the booking of your interlorance or food allergy so we can accommodate as much as possible. Picnic by the River is not responsible for any food allergen experience, treatment, or anaphylactic.
  • CAN I BRING KIDS?
    Kids and babies get to picnic too! However, due to accidents that may occur, we require a $25 fee when adding kids or babies as a guest.
  • HOW DO I CONNECT TO THE BLUETOOTH SPEAKER?
    Instructions on how to connect to the bluetooth speaker can be found here!
  • WHAT IS THE PROCESS THE DAY OF THE PICNIC?
    We will have the set up ready for the agreed start time. We will wait until you arrive before heading off unless we have specified otherwise. We will come back at the agreed finish time and clean it all up for you! We kindly ask that the picnic is not left unattended. Please let us know in advance when you’re ready to leave.
  • CAN I BRING MY PET?
    Pets get to picnic too! However, due to accidents that may occur and specialized cleaning, we require a $25 fee when adding pets as a guest.
  • WHAT IF I'M RUNNING LATE?
    If you're running late, please be sure to contact us right away with your ETA. Also note that your picnic starts at the scheduled time you selected during your booking and will not be extended. We kindly ask that you respect the arranged picnic time since we have multiple picnics scheduled the same day!
  • WHAT IF I NEED TO LEAVE EARLY?
    If you need to leave earlier than the arranged time, please contact us at least 30 minutes in advance. You are responsible for the picnic until we return to gather the picnic items. If the picnic is left unattended, you are subject to receiving an invoice to cover any damages incurred. If you choose to leave early, Picnic by the River will not offer any refunds for leaving the picnic earlier than anticipated.
  • WHAT IS YOUR RESCHEDULING AND CANCELLATION POLICY?
    We require at least a 72 hour notice prior to your picnic for any cancellations or reschedules. Due to resources required to organise your picnic and the timeframe in which we book out, cancellations after 72 hours will only receive a 50% refund of the deposit. If your picnic needs to be rescheduled, we will work with you to reschedule based on availability. We also offer credits that can be applied to another picnic reservation within 2 months from your original date. For more details please view our Terms & Conditions.
  • DO YOU SET UP FOR BRIDAL PARTIES?
    Picnic by the River caters for all special occasions. We set up a stunning picnic for all you ladies to sit back and relax.

    Let's remember Chattanooga City Parks are public areas. We encourage all customers to visit Chattanooga's website for more information on Park rules.
